about this story

As I sat on the beach, I watched the sunset slowly creep away, the night just as fast coming up. As I continued to watch, I slowly began to slip away my self. I layed onto the soft sand of the beach and looked up to the fiery orange sky, I began to think of home, and how I missed it so. As the thought layed in my mind I began to close my eyes, still keeping the thought, then soon after I fell into slumber. It seemed real, but yet slightly not, I was standing at this door with a compass like design behind the lock, I then felt a foreign object laying in my pocket, I patted the pocket more to get a feel of the object before reaching inside. I grabbed hold of what seemed to be a key inside the pocket, I then lifted my hand from it and inserted the key into the lock, It fit perfectly, as if the key was ment for the door. I turned the key and a quiet click was heard as the door then slowly crept open, and what layed before me was a curved street with many buildings sitting on the sides of the street. I became vastly curious of what stood before me, so I stepped through the door. As I began to make my way down the street I came across a what looked like a gray cat with green eyes, it sitting in the middle of the street staring at me, as I stood there and stared at the cat, staring at me, I began to realize that this cat was mine cat, it then gave out a quiet, yet sutle meow. I quickly awoke from what seemed like a dream and sat up. It then came to me as quickly as a bullet. I forgot to feed my cat Taz.
