about this story

I looked at the knife on the blanket. The knife I was supposed to use. I was supposed to murder someone that was rivaling my boss in his company. He showed me the picture again. A man with glasses, curly brown hair, and a W on his shirt. His company sign. “He always eats at this specific restaurant.” He stood up. “Hurry back,” He said, a grin on his face. I ran to the restaurant. I scanned the room and sighed in relief. He wasn't here. Then I saw him. I almost pulled the knife out of my pocket. My fingers grasped the blade. 'No,' I told myself. I ran outside, before I could do something that I would regret for the rest of my life. I stepped in the dewy grass and on the yellow flowers. I didn't care, I just had to get away from this horrible place. My phone buzzed. A text from my boss.

Tom:Did you finish the job?
Annie:I'm not telling you. You'll never know.
