about this story

She was fascinated often -- largely fixated on beings seemingly too small to be alive. As in these last 20 minutes while waiting to get through security -- as the beetle crawled on her hand -- she could not move and barely breathed, hoping that the long line she was in would not move. It was only after the beatle moved over her index finger, through the small gap created by the arc of her thumb and down onto the short green carpet that she took a deep breath and looked up. There, 10 feet from her was another tiny creature - a 2 pound pomeranian with a bright green and blue outfit. What fascinated her was the look of indignation on its face as if the leash attached to it's color was to keep the owner under control not visa versa. It stared at her as only a large dog should do.
