Bored with the idea of a "stay-cation" this summer, I took the advice of a friend and went on an wild search for adventure. My trip started with a peaceful walk down a wilderness trail. After a few hours of walking, I began to get a little concerned. I heard bongo drums and tribal chanting in the background. Where am I? Did I read the travel brochure correctly? Then the tall evergreen trees disappeared, and ocean waves filled the horizon. The once bright golden light bulb in the sky slid into the endless sea of water. Then out of no where, a crazy tribal man jumped out from a bush! "Yicky, yicky, yicky," he shouted. "Umm, excuse me, but I don't speak your language," I responded. Then his wife came out from a tent holding a large, fuzzy object. The man grabbed the blue thingy and slapped it on my head. Then I felt large horn-like objects extend from either side of this blue hat. The mystery couple then danced around me chanting, "Yicky, yicky, yicky!!!" Within a flash, I was standing on a mountain top. The cold crip air was breathtaking. Then I looked down with a feeling of sheer panic. "I'm afraid of heights. How will I get down the mountain?" Then out of no where, a moose popped up and said, "No problem! I'll help you." So off we went down the mountainside together singing moose songs. It wasn't long before I was safe at home. Maybe next year I'll stick with a "stay-cation."
