about this story

Our cabin at the lake wasn't flashy or expensive. It was ours, though. It was special. We always had to visit my mothers aunt's grave before we could go to the cabin. It had been hers and she left it to my mother when she passed away. I never met her aunt but she seemed like a really good person. I always thanked her for the cabin and the memories she helped create. We had to walk down a gravel path to get to the graveyard. There were trees on either side and it was a nice walk. A little stream ran along beside the path and I would always amuse myself by hopping from rock to rock and trying not to get wet as my mom walked along the path. There was a water tower several yards away from the path and I liked to try to hit it with rocks I found. It's so different now. I miss my mom and I miss the path and I miss the stream and I even miss the water tower.
