about this story

Free Verse
I remember back in the day, when I would walk the path covered in delicate white roses. Every day I would walk this path, and every day the air would smell of perfume. Sadly, things change through the years, leaving this place was one big change for me. I moved to the city, where the sidewalks smelled of vomit and liter. The day I moved out, was the day my life became dull. I knew it was going to change me, my life, my way of living, and I knew this would be poisonous when I looked at the scaled green demon on the mover’s truck. I decided to go back one day, so I did, and brought a scrap book of pictures of me to remember my childhood. The path had changed though, it became abandoned and untreated. The bricks I would walk upon have grown moss between them, and the roses all died. Just like my childhood, my walking path is dead.
