about this story

It was a calm serene day and the sky was full of promise. There was no telling where life would take me today, what avenue I would venture into, what road I would take as the path led me to the library on top of the hill. Once I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see that this library reminded me of my childhood. Card catalogs from the eighties, the encyclopedia Brittanica and World Book Encyclopedias lined the shelves perfectly. It was almost surreal as I relived one of my favorite childhood experiences: visiting a library. As I opened up some of the books, I saw placid scenes of the natural surroundings that Henry David Thoreau had mentioned during his time at Waldon Pond. The sky was lit with fluffy clouds that exuded so much splendor, so much hope.
