about this story

It had been 3 days since Joey's mom had passed away. He had not moved to do anything all he had done was stared at a old rusty flower that was his mother's favorite. He didn't move to eat, sleep, or even use the bathroom. He just sat there an stared. For those three days at the mark of every hour Joey would scream for his mother and would have up to a 15 minute conversation with himself to her. "Mother, why did you leave?". A few short days later of him doing that and he had to make the long trip to his hometown in Texas for his mothers funeral. The day was dark and gloomy with the tree's overlooking all the people underneath. The horses brought in his mother's casket and Joey knew it was almost time to let go. As the day was winding down and everyone had left Joey did one last thing. He dropped that old rusty flower down with his mother so he never truly had to let go in his heart.
