about this story

The kids were all excited to be out of school for another day during summer break. Their parents were home working on their capstone project, so they were unable to spend any time with them. Mom started to make pancakes for breakfast; however, she got off track because she had another thought for her capstone. So the kids left because they figured Mom and Dad would not even notice they were gone. They began a journey through the woods. Mom and Dad never even noticed the kids were gone. Mom and Dad got into their car to drive to VCU to confront their capstone adviser, Dr. Stacy. Yet they forgot it was Sunday and Dr. Stacy was not at VCU. Therefore, Mom and Dad drove directly to Dr. Stacy's house. Upon their return home, Mom and Dad realized that the kids were gone. They contacted the police and submitted a missing persons's report to the local newspaper. Mom and Dad went to the corner to ensure that their report had made it into the paper only to find that the box was empty. Mom and Dad did not finish their capstone because they were distraught about never finding their missing kids. They decided to call their classmate Geoff who advised Mom and Dad to, "get logical and think like a kid." They took Geoff's advice and found their kids! They re-enrolled into the program and finished their capstone project!
