about this story

“Your food is ready sir.” Called a voice, and out of the shadows popped a peppy waiter. Isaac jumped and his light brown hair shot up with him. When he had settled back down, the waiter had already placed his food down and she was off. Isaac sighed and shook his head so that his hair fell onto his face. He raked it upwards with his fingers and groaned. If only he hadn’t been born with a superpower maybe he could be normal for once. Having the superpower to float wasn’t always the best. Isaac shuddered as memories of when he was a child flooded in and filled the space where a person was supposed to be sitting in the booth next to him. When he was five, he had begged his parents for a goldfish, and they had reluctantly gave in and bought one. Isaac had named him Bubbles and had kept him for about a year and a half before something had happened. When his mother had entered the room, she found Bubbles caught in the fan, dead. She had found Isaac crying and pointing to the fish, and that’s when they knew he wasn’t normal. Isaac shook the thought off and tried to enjoy his gourmet dinner. A small woman, about 5 foot 4 inches, entered the restaurant and a strange energy passed between the two of them when they locked eyes. Isaac gasped as she raced over to him and mumbled in his ear, “you have the gift don’t you?” Isaac trembled in fear as he nodded, for he knew she was talking about a superpower. Isaac relaxed as she slid into the booth he was sitting in. “We need to talk.” She mumbled urgently, and that’s when Isaac knew something was wrong.

Stay tuned for part two!!!
