Five Card Story: A Journey

Once upon a time (last September to be specific), a young lady (23 years old to be exact) started the first day of the rest of her life. Now, one can choose any day whatsoever to start the rest of their life, but she acknowledged that that day in September (the first to be precise) was quite significant for her.
She was a recent university graduate and for the first fall in a long time, she was not going back to school and she had no clue what to do with herself.
So big surprise, she decided to go home and ponder her unfamiliar situation. Luckily, her parents were and are unique individuals who did not mind having their jobless daughter arrive for an unplanned "vacation."
She decided to make a list which she titled: "Things Lisa Can Do With Her Life" (all capitalized mind you, this was not a list of errands to do this weekend after all, but something that might influence the direction her life could be going in).
Over the next few days, she added, crossed out and edited this growing list.
She decided one morning while doing yoga on the deck, under a glorious tree, to narrow down her brainstorming and just map out some ideas for the next year of her life. Deep breathe in, downward facing dog, life decision made. No big deal. She was going to go gallivanting. Off to Asia it was.
She stocked up on important life reads, and while she wasn't marveling at the bright lights and street markets, she was enjoying a beer and catching inspiring sunsets.
While she knew that this carefree period of her life, where the only question that mattered was "why not?," could not last forever, she remained optimistic about her fate and future.
Besides, if her big dreams did not turn out, there would always be a yoga mat and glorious tree waiting to inspire her.
