Five Card Story: Library on Fire

Lily the librarian loved her cat Sunrise. Every morning when she opened the library Sunrise was always there arching her back then purring loudly as she rubbed her back on Lily's legs. During the day Sunrise would curl up on her colourful cushion and enjoy the sun poring through the library window. Every night Sunrise would guard the Library, keeping the mice at bay and protecting the books.
One tragic night some vandals broke into the library and made a fire out of the libraries full collection of Harry Potter books.
Lily arrived in the morning to find her library in ruins and no sight or sound of Sunrise. Every day since Lily has been searching the city in vain hoping that somehow Sunrise escaped the perilous blaze.
Sometimes Lily wakes to what she thinks is the purring of her beloved cat. She looks out her window and the colours of the new day are vivid and beautiful.
