about this story

In Aunt Edna's study was a large collection of well read books. There were all sorts of books, but my favourites were the ones that contained imaginative stories that took my mind to different places, or contained things that I could build or make.
One of the books on the top shelf, was about two boys who went on an adventure in a country where there were huge bears and the trees towered above them.
Another was a picture book which had very little words but had lots of paintings in it created by young children. One of them reminded me of my Aunt.
Yet another held recipes that I enjoyed making in Aunty's cosy kitchen. The end product was usually delicious, but I did have the odd time when my cooking was less than appertising and was thrown to the birds.
There was a photo album of places that Aunty had travelled to when she was young. I loved the photo of the beach with the waves breaking on the white sand. I always wished that her and I could go back and visit this beach.
I hope that I will always be able to visit my Aunt and delight in the pleasure that her books bring me.
