I am so relieved that I can finally take a vacation!!! It's been so long since I've taken one. Things have been pretty hectic and demanding at my job, so hectic that I felt like jumping off the top of a building, and screaming and pulling at my hair as I was falling. Anyway, for my vacation, one of the things that I did was go to one of the most exotic restaurants in the city---the Fog City Diner! I had some of the most delicious fried chicken, raspberries for the appetizer, linguini pasta with marinara sauce, french fries, and apple crumb pie for dessert. I topped it off with a nice tall glass of orange flavored fanta. The next day, I went to the beach to relax. It was so soothing.... the sound of the waves, the breeze, and the birds flying in packs. It was soooo nice to be ALONE. I eventually got up and started walking along the shore, and I felt the water brush alongside my feet. It was nice and cool. I thought that I would stay at home and relax for the third day, but I decided that I couldn't do it. So, I took a drive all the way into the countryside. I got a glance at the mountain tops, and the trees. I took a visit to the museum on the fourth day. The dinosaur fossils were pretty cool to view, especially the Tyrannosaurus Rex! I also got a glimpse of the Neanderthal statues. I always wondered if that's what I evolved from. Well, after a day looking at the past, I finally went home and settled down. It was amazing that I was able to do all of this in one week, or one city. I guess my coworkers will be waiting to hear what I did when I go back to work, not saying that I'm in a hurry to go back.
