After a short nights sleep, I awoke to the ringing of the traditional town bells, except they seemed a little too loud. When my eyes opened, I noticed that I was looking at the sky instead of the walls and ceiling of my bed room, rather I was lying on the ground in a square before a cathedral, seemingly centuries in the past. Confused I rubbed my eyes.
Only to find myself standing before a modern tech store, signs ablaze. Oddly, there was still not a person in sight. I opened the door and stepped into the store.
Walking towards a large group of of strangely attired people. This is when I began to panic, not knowing what was happening or why, I stopped to take a breath.
Thankfully I found myself smelling the calming aroma of a fresh cup of coffee. Taking a drink I began to consider what was happening to me and why, but came to no answer. I pushed the panic away, realizing I was not in control.
And found myself staring in the open orbital holes of of an animal skull. The presence of plant life reassured me. Was this a message? I never learned.
