about this story

This summer we traveled to Europe. It was amazing! We travelled to Russia, Germany, England, France, and Sweden. We marvelled at the architecture. How could the craftsmen of history have created such works of hard with such rudimetory tools while today our buildings are all concrete and glass - sterile and boring. We couldn't stop taking pictures and we often imagined the work crews and stone masons toiling away on the intricate details of each cornice and gargoyle. And yet as we arrived in Sweden and travelled amongst the grandeur of the mountains, we realized that truly, those ancient craftsmen were striving to duplicate the the sculpture of the first Craftsman, and we were in awe of the natural splender of God's creation. It was a moving conclusion to our journey.
