Five Card Story: The great view

about this story
The road stretched out before me, a great expanse of openness. So fitting as I began this journey, unsure of what was to come. I felt the butterflies of excitement and trepidation as I set for on the road ahead.
Somehow the hills ahead didn't seem quite so big as I set out. But now, as I pedal onward, I'm feeling the incline of the hill in my thighs and backside. I'm slowly crawling my way upward, drawn toward the crest of the hill.
Finally I reach the top and I'm thrilled with the exhilaration of having reached the top and of the incredibly view! Stretching out as far as the eye can see are gorgeous forests.
My eyes stop at a trail opening over to my right. I follow the winding trail down through the underbrush. A bunny hops past me and goes quickly under some ferns.
I continue down the path and arrive at a clearing with some incredible stone ruins. Words cannot describe the sense of awe that I felt seeing this incredible beauty.
Serenity. Peace. Oneness.
