about this story
I was born in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1996 to Serbian parents and have lived there ever since. I have to say if somebody offered me all of the money in the world I wouldn't give them my childhood. My parents strived for perfection when it came to my youth and in my opinion they hit their target. Like other kids I went to the zoo, played sports and collected toy cars. How much better could a kids life get?
Since I was born I've been to Europe six times. Some of my fondest memories were created there. From hanging out with my cousins in Serbia to enjoying magnificent beaches in Montenegro, Europe has never ceased to surprise me. When I grow up I want to fill my scrapbook of life with many more memories of beautiful places I've visited all around the world.
In the year 2000 my life changed drastically. Like other kids I put on my backpack, packed my first lunch and went to school. Many kids would call school boring, lame and useless but I think oppositely. Without school I wouldn't have met any of my awesome friends, I wouldn't have played my first game of tag and I wouldn't have become the person I am today. I do not regret going to school one bit and I hope to continue this wonderful experience.
The same year I entered kindergarten, the most important thing that ever happened in my life occurred. My brother George was born. This was huge because since then we've never been separated under any circumstances and he's the most important person in my life. Before he was born I went around telling everybody I was going to have a little brother and that his name was going to be George. My dreams came true and I was one very happy five year old.
Now I'm fifteen years old and hopefully I have many more wonderful years ahead of me. The way I think of it is that I'm in a car and life is a highway which has many twists and turns along the way. When I grow up I want to be a pharmacist and I want to travel all around the world. I want to taste new foods and observe new cultures. Like my brother being born I wish all my future dreams and aspirations can come true.
