about this story

The city's flourescent lights were what caught my eye. After a long drive my wife, son, and I finally made it to Las Vegas. We check into our hotel and because it has been a long trip our son wants to sleep. We put Cameron into the hotels daycare service and my wife and I are soon off to dinner. We find a nice French restaurant and enjoy an authentic dinner that left a full stomach. After conversing with the cab driver we soon learn of the tourist hot spots. However, in a thick southern accent the driver recommends a mime show that he thinks falls under the radar. When we ask where he is from, the driver tells us "I used to own some ole' Arby's franchises in Alabama till my wife cleaned me out" and he proceeded to say "who knew you could make more money driving a taxi in Vegas." After the show my wife and I were tired but wanted to make one last visit. There was a scene shot in a local park from the recent scary-movie thriller and we decided to visit. After visiting I understood why I cried like a five year-old during the movie. The park was what it seemed which made our visit there a quick one as we scurried off and found the first cab back to the hotel.
