I mean, there's got to be some arcane wisdom behind that crinkly mahogany face, right? She looks almost like one of the nuts she sells: an almond, textured and elongated, but the color of a chestnut. Deep. Soul-rich. Every day I buy a little bag of almonds before I come home and practice. It's a special transaction. Even though I'm a suburban white kid from Ohio, it will happen. It is already happening. The music is developing, order and chaos streaming through my instrument. We will all feel it. Everyone's brainwaves will all light up with the swirls of the universe. No, really; it's coming down, and it's coming down soon.
