It had been close to Christmas time and many families had gone on holiday to the camp site sett far into the middle of the forest. Many people had come,the singing the laughing it was truely a fantasitic place. As the sun had set the singing and dancing carried on even so long that you could see the orange-yellow colour of the sunrise. The camp fire was still burning and not many people payed attention to what was happening around it. The wind blew with great force and the fire flew to one side catching onto the tree beside it. The fire spread so quickly going from one tree to the next. People were devistated. Beautiful native plants and tree's were in the forest and were soon to be burnt. The news spread quickly to citys or places near by warnings and all, but nothing could be done to save the forest...
