One day I was out walking in the bush. I was enjoying myself so much that I didn't realise the darkness of night was quickly approaching. Along with the evening a cool fog settled over the area. I was not familiar with the area and could not see where I had come from. I was lost! I wandered around and around and around but nothing looked familiar. All of a sudden I heard a bark and saw an orange pup running towards me. At first I was afraid but then the dog stopped and sniffed my hand as a gesture of friendship. He barked again and started walking off. When I didn't follow he turned around and beckoned me with his ears. Before long we were back in the car park safe and sound. I wasn't leaving without my saviour it seemed. As soon as we got there he jumped into the back like he belonged there. We returned home and I made him his own space in our shed where he has kept me company ever since.
