George saw it first. At least I think he did, because he kept looking up until I thought, "What is my cat looking at?" and I looked up, too. At first, all I could see was that tiny red spot in the tree in our back yard, so I started to walk away, ignoring George and pulling the walnuts I had slipped into my coat pocket out for a snack. But suddenly, as I turned the corner onto Main Street, the earth began to tip sideways. Cars were rolling toward me, and the building on the corner where Main splits and becomes two streets looked as if it were digging its heels in to avoid toppling forward. I ran back to my backyard as fast as I could and really looked up as hard as I could. George had truly spotted the cause of all this mayhem--the Alien.
