I was on an airplane with my best friend Zlata and we finally landed after hours of a tiring journey with beautiful views of mountains and ocean. But, when we got off the plane, we immediately knew that we were not at the right place. We expected to see the Eiffel tower, but after we went through the "Exit" door from the airport we immediately saw old buildings that were crumbling and blue. People were swarming through what seemed to be a marketplace and there was a lot of yelling in a foreign language that neither of us could understand. After a few puzzling moments sorting through the goods available, Zlata and I figured out we were in Egypt. We decided to stay the night because neither one of us had ever been to Egypt, and we saw a cat snoozing next to the entrance to the hotel. We decided to call her Cairo and take her home with us. Before we left Egypt, we rode on camels and bought authentic clothes. We were practically Egyptians by the time we left for Paris.
