about this story

During my vacation in southern red oak reserve, I went for a hike. As I was making my way along the trail, I looked over and saw a man that seemed to be preparing to jump from the cliff side. He was wearing a harness, but they were all tangled, so I began to make my way towards him in hope of helping the lad. While walking I hadn't noticed the Bridge in my path, or the man standing on it. He looked ecstatic, and approached me with no hesitation. He greeted me with "Hello there laddy, I'm glad you've decided to take this here path," in a strong Irish accent. I acknowledged him with 'you're welcome' then tried to make my way around him. He blocked my path, seeming to have more to say. "I'd just like to warm ya about that there cliff side. A lot of good men have fallen, or slipped down to their treturous deaths." He then proceeded to wave a sign in my face reading 'Be careful water hazard!" Finally, I managed to slip past and head towards the jumper I had seen earlier. I eventually made my way to the cliff, but. The man had disappeared, and the rope was lleft behind. I was worried. I peared over the cliff side onto the vast body of water. There was nobody in site. I then returned to the trail side and had my intended picnic. :D
