I wanted to practice long and hard since I knew that was the only way to become a great pitcher. My shoulder gave me lots of trouble and finally one day, I threw the ball so hard that it crossed into road work being done at the end of a scary road. I needed to retrieve the baseball, so I ventured past the Road Closed sign, only to find that the baseball had landed in an old coffee mug. It took me most of the day to find the ball, so when I walked home it was nearly dark. Along the way, tossing the ball up and down in my pitcher\'s mitt, my eye caught sight of a tiny moving creature. It was a good omen, a baby frog, so I took it home for good luck.
