about this story
Once upon a time, there was a sad, sad, sad lion. He was captured and taken aboard a ship. The wicked, selfish captain set sail for a zoo far across the sea. One evening, a terrible storm came upon the ship. It tossed the ship to and fro, eventually smashing it upon a coral reef. The ship sunk and the sad, sad, sad lion ended up on a tropical island with palm trees. He was so hot and lonely! He desperately wanted to escape. Unfortunately, when he tried to swim for it the wild surf and treacherous waves kept beating him back to the sandy beach. The lion was ready to give up hope... SUDDENLY, Superboy arrived flailing his trusty yellow Wiffle bat. With the power of kryptonite behind him, he parted the waves making a somewhat soggy path back home across the sea to Africa and into the arms of his beloved family. The sad lion was no longer sad and he and his family lived happily ever on the savanna.
