about this story

This day started early like most days and as the sun rose over the tree tops I mused about the day to come. We would be heading out on our very first class trip. As a new teacher I was anxious and scared about what might happen.

We arrived at the state capital and toured through all the buildings. There was so much history to look at and to take in. However, for my young students looking at old buildings was absolutely boring. All I heard was Mrs. M can we just go! this is boring. So on our way home we saw horses in a pasture. We stopped the bus and the students got out. They had so much fun petting and talking to these gentle giant beasts. If I would have known that all they needed was to play outside and connect with nature, I would have planned the trip differently.

I was exhausted as I approached my quaint teal door, beckoning me to the quite refuge of my home. I love class trips!
