Last Sunday I decided to visit our local gallery. It is situated in one of the halls of our old church which does not serve religious purposes any more because of the increasing number of atheists in our town. My visit was framed by animals. Before I entered the gallery I had glanced at a big spider creeping on the floor, and when I was leaving it I saw a lovely butterfly on the wall of the church. And my strongest impressions from the gallery? Two works by our local artists: one of them expressing a family dinner in weak light of a few candles, and the other was an abstract painting which is difficult to describe but I could imagine a human face behind it.
