Splashing in the dark brown water of the river. Skipping rocks with my friends. My old brown shoes mom has been begging to get rid of are crunching over slippery rocks as I walk down stream. The smell of leaves, and fresh raspberries smashed in my pocket my friends and I picked. I don't need to go back home, to the crowded city. Dark, smelly, and dirty. The smell of pink wildflowers will keep me here. I belong here with my friends and and the trees.
