Five Card Story: Dystopia

about this story
I wake up to the same sunset, the same trees in the distance, the same clouds in the sky. I go to continue my everyday tasks, as everybody does. Each man gets on their bike to get to work, each woman wakes to stay home cooking and caring for the children of the community.
Our land is flat and barren, we know of things that are beyond us though, we read about them in books. Even though our leader insists they are not real, I know what I can see from the top floor of the tallest building in town, which is really only about 20 feet taller than the shortest.
Everything we know is blurry, and vivid. Last night in a dream I saw things clearly, for the first time in my life everything felt real, like my reality was a nightmare and this was real life.
I want that freedom again. I have made my final decision. I will be escaping. The only problem is climbing the 70 foot wall that surrounds us and our thoughts. The bell tower and the wall are fairly
