I look out my window and all I see grey. The mountains outside the city are grey, the streets are grey, and my home is grey. "With no colour, no one will stand out, and everyone will be equal." That's what the ruler said when he came into power. Even though it was 3 years ago, it feels like it has been forever since my world was colourful. As I walk towards my school, I notice a speck of colour on a wall. I walk closer to it, intrigued. When I get there, I see it has writing. "You are the resistance." The ruler banned writing in public so no one would feel hurt. I know notice that the writing is illuminated by a light. There is no light, and no dark. Then we can't damage our eyes. I turn around to see where the light is coming from, and I see the world in a whole new way.
