about this story

A Gorrila at the Zoo
It was a very windy night at the zoo. In a gigantic habitat nearby lived a gorilla. Her name was Ally. She lived with her brother and sister. Their names were Ivan and Zoe. They loved living together. But sometimes it got boring.
One day a new baby gorilla came to the zoo. She looked very scared to be somewhere she did not recognize. Ally was so excited to have a new gorilla there. Finally a chance to make new friends. They put her in our habitat and she sat at the door not saying a word. Beside her was a little ball, it had been chewed up on the sides. It had a little red smiley face on it. I thought it was cool. “What is that that white ball?” I asked. She said it was her toy from her real home. “Oh” I said. “What’s your name?” “Um I don’t have a name” she said. Ok well I will name you Linda because that was my mother’s name and you look like her. I have always wanted a name. Well now you do.
Linda and Ally were best friends you could ever have! We played games all the time. The two they always played were Tag and Hide and Seek. I was not very good at hide and seek but, Linda was. Sometimes Linda would get home sick and want to go home. So I would comfort her and tell her stories.
One day it started to snow and everyone needed shelter. They put us all inside. Linda did not like that she needed to be outside for the fresh air. Even though I wanted to stay inside I needed to help Linda.
We were there for a couple days then a couple weeks. Finally I came up with plan. One really late night a window was left open. I woke up Linda and told her this was our only way out. We both climbed out the window and we landed on a lake. It was not cold at all. We went for a long swim and never went back to the zoo ever again.
