about this story

John travelled by boat to an island to see new things. He wanted adventure and excitement. He decided to hike out into the forest to see the wildlife of the island. He didn't see many animals, just a few birds and a turtle with a very colourful design on its shell. While he was examining the intricate marking of the turtle, he heard a rustling of leaves ahead of him. It was a little boy in a red coat. John called to the little boy, but he didn't answer. Perhaps he is deaf, thought John. I'd better follow him to make sure he's ok. Not wanting to frighten the boy, John followed at a distance. There in the densest part of the forest was a little stone cottage covered in ivy and morning glories. He entered the house so I decided that he must live there. John sat looking at the house for sometime trying to decide what to do. He decided to meet this boy and his family. There was no answer to his knock. Trying the handle, the door swung open easily. He looked through the house but saw no one. This was strange for he knew that the boy had entered this very house. All the doors to the rooms had been open except one. John assumed that this must be some sort of closet so he had not bothered to open that door. After searching the entire house with no sign of the boy, he decided to open the closet door. Perhaps the boy had seen him and was hiding in the closet. He opened the door into a room that seemed too big to belong to this small cottage. It had light without light bulbs. There was a skylight in the ceiling. This seemed to be absorbed and radiated once again from creatures n the wall. As John looked closer, he realised that built into the walls were giant aquariums. He began at the tank to his right marvelling at the glowing creatures. There were many colours. All colours except red. He made note of that because he had been thinking about red, the red coat of the little boy. He had now made his way around the room to the final tank. In this tank there was but one creature and it was red. It bore no resemblance to the boy he had seen earlier, but somehow he seemed to feel that there was a connection. Suddenly the large room didn't feel so large any more. It seemed stifling, hot. He felt fear. He must get out!
