It was a a bright Thursday morning in June, I was on my way to school so unexcited about spending my entire day there when it was so beautiful out. Driving along sitting every red light, I was one block away from school when I came across a sign on my left that said ROAD CLOSED". "Closed?" I thought to myself, looking around putting my car into park allowing myself some time to think whether I wanted to go down that road or not. I was feeling adventurous so I decided to get out of my car and start to walk down the road. The road was pretty bland, nothing special to it a few big trucks all over the place but no workers. It was strange, as i continued walking I came to see a big tree with a river beside it, I went over and checked it out and found one little sun flower in the midst of dead grass and what looked as if it was an abandoned space. "How could this be?" I thought to myself, I have never even seen this place and I drive by it everyday on my way to school. Picking the flower up i decided to keep walking along the shore. Before I knew it I looked into the sky realizing that I had spent my entire day walking along this closed road, The sky was a combination of orange and pinks mixed together, one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. It was at that moment I looked and discovered I was in a sandy beautiful beach. I found some place magical, and I found some of myself that day. Sitting down on the beach I felt whole, thinking to myself "missing school today was so worth it".
