about this story

Two years ago, I traveled to Europe where I spent three months backpacking with my best friend in the entire world, Victoria. Weirdly enough, it was probably almost during this week (of June 16th) that we explored the Greek Isles. Mykonos was the first Greek island we visited, as a part of a week long cruise of the Greek Isles and Turkey. Just as the first photo shows, all of the buildings were whitewashed. The colourful doors and trim was really visually appealing, in colours like blue and purple and red, and I remember being like "woooaah! It really does look like in the movies!"
From the shore of the island, we could see our cruise ship (which was actually quite a lame cruise ship - our evenings consisted of karaoke and they didn't serve drinks until 10 am). Looking down from atop the island of Santorini was an INCREDIBLE sight. And of course I rode a donkey down the cliff. The donkey guide kept calling me his "blondie princess," I'm sure trying to maximize his tip...unsuccessfully. The sunsets in Greece were some of the most beautiful I've ever seen, but sadly I have no pictures since I decided to spend the last month of my trip really seeing instead of seeing through the lens of my camera. I would do anything to go back to get Greece and lose myself again in the winding village streets!
