about this story
A typical day, once upon a time, i was walking through the park on my way to work. a bird smacked into the lamp post next to me and dropped a note with my name on it at my feet. I took it as a message. I had to open it. my hands trembled.
the note said - go to the station and walk through the spiky gate to find your father. there you will find a work colleague, slightly bloodied.
he is a "richard" and he has been fighting a chicken for possession of the last bottle of lion red in new zealand.
