I saw my name on a storefront window, it was spelled differently than the way my name is spelled, however it was the same in sound as I rolled and flicked my tongue through its 3 syllables. It wasn't suppose to begin or end this way with me standing, staring at the hand painted flourish of blue and white paint, connecting into ,"Eleanor's", but, I entered the store and asked for Eleanor. "There is no one here by that name, it is just the name for our shoe store, would you like to look at some shoes?", or else, seemed implied on the clerk's grim face as he asked. I looked down at my own scruffed up, over used sneakers and said, "I only came in to find Eleanor" and turned and ran out of the store, turning sharply, scraping my elbow on the rough brick wall of the storefront, grazing my bare skin repeatedlly as the wall became a vine covered trail. I kept running, turning and twirling, following the clinging vine until it dead ended at a chalked up wall of white lined flowers and turtles, and wondered why my world is so veiled in red bricks and ghostly chalked lines under broken glass windows when my mind reached out for a world of open green fields and new shoes, dancing shoes for Elinore.
