Once upon a time there was a couple named Jim and Suzie. Every year, on the day of their wedding anniversary, Jim and Suzie take a leisurely walk among the dirt roads in their small rural town. Hand in hand, they wander the corn fields quietly basking in the glow of their love. On their fifth anniversary, Suzie noticed a small path that cut directly through the fields. Feeling inquisitive, Jim and Suzie ambled along the path, noticing small flowers and insects along the way. Gradually, the rural trail led into a small town with cobblestone paths highlighted by the crisp morning light. With entwined fingers, the couple followed the path through a beautiful archway. Right before reentering the light, the couple noticed a strange inscription on the wall. The numbers 1529 were clearly visible on the cement. Suzie gasped. That was the birthday of her grandmother who had passed away just days earlier. Taking this as a sign, the couple raced home to analyze the antique furniture that Suzie’s grandmother had left her. In one of the drawers, Suzie and Jim found a small silver key with a handwritten note containing an address. The couple immediately hopped in their car and drove to the address on the note. Once at the house, Suzie and Jim walked quickly up the sidewalk to the front door. Apprehensively, Suzie slipped the key in the lock and pushed the door open. There, standing at the sink, was Suzie’s long lost mother. The only sound that could be heard was the quiet ping of the key hitting the hardwood floor.
