about this story

I remember the day my owners left, Molly, who was the three year old, youngest of the three cried for what it seemed like for years. She didn't want to move away. So doing what I was obligated to do as the house pet was simply to just comfort her. Walking up to her and rubbing my head on her legs, she giggled and picked me up and embraced me tightly, while my purr was overwhelming her crying, which had subsided a lot. Her older brothers were too busy packing to realize they forgot to get the pizza man out of the window. Luckily, the neighborhood cat, Harry, pawed at the window long enough for them to get it. Tommy, the eldest, picked up Harry and walked over to Molly and I to pick me up as well. It seemed like they were taking Harry as well, in which they must've been in order for Tommy to get him as well. Molly was still in the back crying, oh the tears came flooding back and I wished I could've been there with her. The family finally finished packing and had a small little picnic where the grass was tall and the air was as fresh as nature could get before we left. Everyone seemed stressed and also a bit relieved to be almost done with moving, it's never really been easy for any of us. Harry went around sniffing everyones' food, hoping they would share some actual people food. Instead they just gave us some wet cat food, and not that cheap stuff either, it was expensive. After everyone was finished eating, Harry and I got back into our cat carriers and were put back into the car. Molly fell asleep while Tommy and Barry just played on some weird hand held devices and had really loud noises coming from it. Harry and I ended up falling asleep through most of the car ride, but when I awoke, I saw the most beautiful sight; it was a tall, cat looking tower, except it was lovely. I wanted to climb it and everything. After seeing that we entered a small town and to an empty house, that's all I can recall from our moving day, which we ended up moving again a year later after Molly became really sick, she ended up passing away and everyone became really sad, and not even Harry and I could cheer them up.
