about this story

The thought makes my bones as cold as snow. I remember it vividly, the spring rain that was hitting the pavement, the dead tress off of the road, but most of all the panic in the mothers eyes. The turn was just too sharp. It’s been exactly a year since I hit the poor ladies car; killing her and leaving the toddler mother less. In court I saw pictures of him with his grandparents on the lake. I can already see the hate growing in his heart. His eyes are as tired as an old mans, He can never forgive, and I can never forget.
