Five Card Story: Lost

about this story
New to town, I decided to explore around the town for a while. It was a a crisp spring day, birds were my music as I walked down the sidewalk in my neighborhood. My mind wanders, I realize I am lost. In a panic I look for street signs, trying to remember how to get back. I keep walking down the sidewalk until it turned into cobblestone. My feet fall before me and I fall to my knees. A bird flies down next to me. I lay there, exhausted and worried about making my way home. I notice across the way there is a large field where the sun was meeting the land. All the different colors put me at ease. I get up and notice the bird was following me, chirping at me. Together we took a side road along the field and after the sun went down we finally stumbled on my old apartment.
