about this story

On the rainy sunday, I walked through the wet streets of Seattle. The dark, thick clouds sat imposingly in the sky. The rain steadily fell, pelting my coat as if I were being hit with small pebbles. A fading sign, damp from the rain, hung from a telephone pole. I looked at it, and read 'yard sale.' With nothing better to do, i crossed the street and turned the block to the address listed. I rustled through the junk and found nothing of interest, except a dented steel sign saying 'Pledge of Allegiance. I examined the back of it, and saw a faded map. It was very vague, simply an X drawn in a forest, and below that a drawing of a bent tree with a white square on it. I went to it, and wandered through the northwestern wilderness until I came across the tree with the small piece of paper. it read 'move fifty feet north'. I took pace north, and came across a small house, with a lone wooden door and a single window. I opened the door, and found a deserted house. with a metal sign stating the pledge of allegiance hanging on the wall. I assumed it was a childs tree fort, and so I turned and left. I caught a train back into town, and had a coffee on the way, Watching the scenery move past.
