about this story

I walked through the sunny streets of town, calmly admiring the architecture that surrounded me. I couldn't help but let my mind wander to the other magnificent beauties of my planet. My brain played images in front of my eyes, flashing them across my retinas. I imagined a town in Europe, with such different building styles than those of my hometown. The great towers of England standing above the streets, their own culture carved into the sides of the buildings. My mind went on another adventure, flying to a majestic ocean. The water crashing upon the rocks, leaving behind it's own imprint on the eroding shores. The cool sea air was blowing against my skin, and I could feel the salt in the air. Before I could adjust to the temperature, I was snapped to another image. A family, the beauty of a father holding his child. I watched as the father's instinct took over, gently cradling his child in his arms. Again I was teleported to a new land. The history of a great castle stood before my eyes. I couldn't help but think of the memories that were collected here in the castle. Old times of Kings and Queens, Dukes and Duchesses, and their loved ones living inside the walls. Lastly, I was brought back to my hometown with the sunny streets. I smiled, and continued walking down the sidewalk, thinking of what Earth contains, and the natural beauty of all of it.
