I used to be homeless, wandering around looking for food, finding any possible type of shelter there was, with blistered feet and all. It was terrible, especially for a girl of 18. The worst part was seeing the rich people walking busily wearing fine clothes, eating delicious food, with all their beautiful accessories and flowers. It was very hard, but I had to learn that life really isn't fair, and if you get down, you need to get back up off the street again or it won't get any better. So I started doing little jobs, like mowing the lawn for people, running errands, etc. Soon I got enough money for clothes and I was a respectable part of the community again! Now as an old lady, it's nice to just sit down and have a cup of tea when things are hard and remember the terrible things I went through.
