about this story

Five rubber ducks had had enough. Bath time with children was getting monotenous and annoying, so they packed up their best clothes and set out to find find freedom. That freedom was located at the sea. Somewhere they had never been before. As they snuck out the bathroom and down the stairs of the house they came across a large set of stairs. Now, without having feet it was hard to walk so these rubber ducks attempted to slide down the banister. They were quacking so loudly that a garden gorgon heard them. The gorgon was mean and tough and picked up the ducks. She placed them in a chain link fence to make sure they didn't escape again. "oh how sad the children would be if they knew their ducks had run away," the gorgon thought to herself. The ducks felt defeated and imagined the beach. The sun and its golden honey light warming their plastic souls. The rubber ducks craved escape but ultimately could not overcome the barrier of the chain link fence. Not this time at least. But hey, gorgons need sleep, the midnight escape will commence after a nap the rubber ducks thought to themselves.
