about this story
The black dog thought "well, it couldn't get worse", as it began to rain. He ran down a twisting road, kicking up globs of mud, and eventually came upon a small town. The dog, dirty from his trek, laid at the steps of a large cathedral. Onlookers remarked, "he sure isn't clean," and passed by without a second glance. The mutt soon arose from his nap, and ran off into the nearby woods. He stumbled across a small sprout of a plant. He circled the beautiful sprout,thinking of how pretty it was, and how it must taste good. Weak with hunger, the dog quickly snapped the sprout up and chewed. He then proceeded to vomit. "Well, that wasn't tasty."
