The Tree. It’s all we have. We don’t have the comfort of hope, the pleasure of joy, those old friends are long gone. We only had the Tree. No it is not a tree like in the woods, this tree could not be destroyed so easily, by man and his roads, his fumes, and his blades. This is a sturdy tree, one that could withstand the sea of space like a cactus survives the desert. This is a grand tree, one of metal and wires, one of many flights that lead to many stories to be told. This is our tree. This gives us life, and peace in the face of an overwhelming storm of sorrow. This is the Mother tree, of all trees, this is our Mothership.
