"Hup!" Frank said as he swung a foot over the broken fence by the abandoned tool shed. The male landed on the soft, leafy ground and paused. This forest, though vibrantly green, was inhabitable. This forest, though seeming so lively, was lifeless. Frank looked around, brushing his hand across the rough bark of an oak. Small leaves grew from a crevice in the stock, reaching for the sunlight that shone feebly through the heavy canopy. He smiled before walking down the beaten path. But even so- with a forest so 'dead,' it was quite beautiful.
