Five Card Story: A day on the town

I could hear mom yell up the long twisty stairs "come downstairs guys!"
Me, Jake and Mike ran down the stairs yelling at each other "BEAT YOU TO THE BOTTOM!!"
When we reached the end of the stairs we all stopped dead in or tracks. Mom was standing at the bottom "calm down; everyone put your shoes on, we're going out."
"Where are we going, where are we going" echoed through the house.
So we all jumped in the car and headed to the park.
When we pulled up, there was a kindergarden class playing with a parachute; the colors waving through the air.
I watched as my younger brothers jumped form the car and immediately ran to the water. My mom had brought an old loaf of bread for them to feed to the birds.
I decided to explore the trees and plants while my mom talked to a friend.
We all ate a picnic lunch after exploring for awhile and then I began to get very tired.
We all walked back to the car, looking at the chalk on the pavement.
There were so many signs of a nice day out and I was glad I'd been a part of it.
